    Whether you’re brand new to kayaking or just need a confidence boost, this guided experience is the perfect way to get started.

    In partnership with City of Acworth, Driftwood offers a fun and beginner-friendly lesson followed by a scenic 2-hour tour along the peaceful shoreline of Lake Acworth.

    We’ll begin with an introduction to basic paddling techniques, boat control, and essential water safety skills led by our experienced instructors. Then, we will put those new skills to the test as we paddle along the lake, exploring it’s quiet coves, natural beauty and hidden ecological gems.

    Along the way you’ll learn about the rich history of Lake Acworth and the surrounding area, from its origins to its role in the local community today.

    Our destination: a beautiful hidden waterfall where we’ll pause for about 30 minutes to step out of the boats, explore the area on foot, snap photos, and enjoy a refreshing break. Along the way, your guide will share the rich history of the area, point out wildlife, and discuss local ecology. This tour is perfect for paddlers looking for a moderately active adventure that blends nature, history, and the thrill of discovering a tucked-away waterfall.
